Lane Pittman didn’t wait his turn he pushed his way to the front of the line with energy and entertainment. Raised in Tamworth, NSW the fresh faced 20-year-old moved quickly from local stages to stadium floors and hasn’t looked back since. In a short window, he’s become one of the clearest signals of where Australian country music is heading next.

2025 marked the rise of the young artist. Pittman and his band joined Luke Combs on his Australian and New Zealand stadium tour, opening shows in front of tens of thousands each night. It was a trial by scale—and he passed it. Somewhere between soundchecks and sell-out crowds, Pittman collected his first Golden Guitar, taking home New Talent of the Year after stepping off stage at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, QLD.

That run put him everywhere at once. National television appearances followed, alongside coverage from major music and mainstream outlets. Online clips clocked up millions of views, but the momentum wasn’t built on moments alone—it was anchored by songs.

‘Amen For The Weekend’ became the defining release of the year. Between February and November 2025, it was the only Australian song to reach #1 on the Australian Country Radio Charts. The track cut through playlists, live sets, and radio rotations, earning Lane a Golden Guitar nomination for Single of the Year and confirming his place well beyond “breakout” status.

This year, Lane has been anything but content with his current status. His second EP, brashly titled ‘WHAT NOW?’ was a message to fans and critics that musically he can stand on his own two feet by having a hand in writing every song on the project. The response, #3 in the ARIA Country Charts, lead single ‘Miss You In The Morning’ in the top 5 Australian radio chart for two consecutive weeks and Lane himself as the cover of Spotify’s ‘Fresh Country’ Playlist for another two weeks. No matter where you looked or listened, Lane Pittman was there. On the road, the room sizes continued to grow, and his festival appearances not only got later but were taken internationally as he and his band made their debut at Stagecoach Festival in California.
